Before you buy
Which pistols does it fit?
Railed pistols from Glock, Smith & Wesson, Springfield, Sig Sauer, CZ, Ruger, Colt, Beretta, Taurus, Walther and HK, 1911s included. Search yours in the list above. Railed P80 and Canik pistols fit too, but are not in the search yet.
Does my pistol need an accessory rail?
Yes. The holster anchors to the rail under the frame, in front of the trigger guard. If the frame is smooth and rounded there, this holster is not for that pistol.
Can one holster serve more than one pistol?
Yes. Put an adapter on the rail of each pistol and all of them seat in the same holster. Re-check the tension each time you switch.
Red dot, tall sights, threaded barrel or compensator?
All fine. The holster attaches at the rail, so anything mounted on the slide or the muzzle does not affect the fit.

How do I confirm the fit before ordering?
Check that your pistol has an integral accessory rail and search it in the list above. Not sure? Email support@ussavage.com with the make, model, generation and any mounted accessory.

How tight should I set it?
Tight enough that the pistol seats with a positive click and does not shift when you move. Test it unloaded: turn the holster upside down and shake it. Nothing should move.
Is it Level I, II or III?
It is not rated to a duty retention level. It gives adjustable passive retention at the rail. If your duty policy requires a certified level, use a holster rated for it.
Does it cover the trigger?
Yes. The body fully encloses the trigger guard when the pistol is seated. Check it on your own pistol, unloaded, before you carry.
Should the pistol be unloaded while I set it up?
Always. Every fitting, tension change, hand change and shake test is done with the pistol completely unloaded and pointed in a safe direction.
Is it OWB or IWB?
OWB, on the included paddle. The slim profile keeps it close to the body without added bulk.
Is it a good first holster?
Yes. It is the core TRX model: the adapter, the tension and the paddle work the same for a first-time owner and a seasoned carrier.

How do I clean it?
A damp cloth and mild soap, then let it dry. Keep the inside free of grit: that is what marks the finish of a pistol.
